Putting more security and intelligence in edge devices is hot news these days. That’s why we are showcasing both in a variety of live demos, presentations and industrial and commercial IoT product displays at Embedded World 2017, March 14 through 16 at the Exhibition Centre in Nürnberg, Germany. You can schedule a briefing here.

Security and intelligent applications are core to everything we do at Electric Imp. For example, we illustrate how versatile edge device functionality, involving multiple, varied sensors and diverse applications through three demos: the LoRa Gateway w/ IBM Watson IoT, imp005 Electronic Balance Game and the Tweet for a Treat demo.

The LoRa Gateway w/IBM Watson IoT illustrates the power of real-time analytics in a simple to use game. Simply toss the imp-enabled ball in the air and gain immediate insights into a variety of measurements, as well as experience low-latency delivered via mixed connectivity and application environments.

The imp005 Electronic Balance Game, on the other hand, is a simple but compelling real-time balancing game between an Electric Imp device. The device uses the new imp005-EZ board, available in Arrow’s booth, and the visitor’s mobile phone.

The “Tweet for a Treat” demo uses a candy machine, complete with imp005 module, and off-the- shelf cloud application integration with Twitter to dispense sweet rewards for Tweeting a special message. It’s a great example of very low-power, low-latency, yet highly-secure device-to-cloud application integration. It also showcases one of over 30 off-the-shelf, open source enterprise application libraries available today from Electric Imp.

Our CEO, Hugo Fiennes, and Head of Customer Solutions Engineering, Terrence Barr, will both be on hand to answer questions and present industrial-strength IoT tips and tricks.

Schedule an appointment now or come see Electric Imp at:
