So the Imp been de-cloaked for three days now and sure, the video of the water sensor taking away Christmas and giving it back has made the rounds, but the best way to get a feel of what the Imp is capable of is to come check it out in person and talk with the folks behind it.

Brandon and Evan building the Electric Imp booth. We basically made an Ikea living room in our 10’ by 10’ space.

We’re really excited to be exhibiting at Maker Faire this Saturday and Sunday at the San Mateo County Fairgrounds. If you’re in the area (and certainly if you’re already planning on coming to Maker Faire) you should definitely come by and say hi. We’ve got a bunch of cool demos for you and we’d love to meet you and hear your ideas.

Our booth is in the middle of the Expo Hall, right next to the ‘Make Demo’ area in the ‘Make: Pavilion’. Look for the big Imp banner you can see in the masterpiece above.

It’s a late night in the office tonight putting the finishing touches on a few pieces, then up early to unpack the toys at the booth before the doors open. Hope to see you there.

PS: If you do plan on coming to Maker Faire and live near a Caltrain station, it’s absolutely the way to go. I prefer Hillsdale station to Hayward Park, but the Maker Faire site has got all the details either way. Consider riding your bike or bike+Caltrain because they’ll even have free bike valet and storage, and will give you a $5 discount off your ticket to boot.
