The Electric Imp imp006 Breakout Board is the official imp006 development platform. It provides a full product evaluation, code development and product prototyping foundation for the imp006 module.

On-board sensors, LEDs and Grove connectors allow experimentation without soldering. The flexible power architecture enables both rechargeable and primary cell/DC operation.

The imp006’s GPIO pins and standard buses are exposed on 0.1″ headers, ensuring you can test your application quickly and easily.

The imp006 Breakout Board also provides cellular connectivity through a Quectel BG96 global Cat-M/2G/NB-IoT cellular modem and Super SIM, now provided by KORE Wireless. The BG96 also provides GNSS — GPS, Glonass, BeiDou/Compass, Galileo and QZSS location services — and the Kit includes cellular and active GNSS antennas.

The Kit also includes both 802.11a/b/g/n/ac dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) WiFi local-area networking and BLE personal-area networking thanks to the inclusion of a Murata LBEE5HY1MW wireless module.

All this plus the benefits of the Electric Imp Platform: a fully managed OS with fail-safe OTA updates, seven layers of managed security, proven volume manufacturing flow, fleet management console and much more.
